We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Thomas Barksdale II, who was born on March 14, 1966, in Gray Court, South Carolina, United States. He passed away on March 16, 2025, at the age of 59.

Thomas was the beloved son of Thomas Frank Barksdale and Ada Josephine Barksdale. He was a devoted husband to Lela Mae Barksdale, whom he married in 1966. Thomas was a loving father to his three children, Tevin Dwayne Barksdale, Carol Ann Barksdale, and Phillip James Barksdale. He also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren.

Thomas attended Laurens District 55 High School and graduated in 1981. He went on to work at SCDOT and retired in 2009 after many years of dedicated service. Thomas also proudly served in the Army.

One of Thomas's favorite hobbies was working on cars. He was known for his passion for fixing and restoring vehicles, a skill that brought him joy and fulfillment.

Thomas's life was tragically cut short by a major heart attack and underlying health issues. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
