Theron Lakeith Byrd, 56, passed peacefully from this life at Bulloch Memorial Hospital in Statesboro, GA the morning of September 15, 2016 unexpectedly. Theron was born on July 17, 1960, to Beatrice Smith and Dean Byrd of Metter, GA. Theron lived the majority of his life in Metter, GA. Theron married his wife Silvia Rogers on July 11, 2000.

Theron is servived by his wife of 16 years Silvia (Rogers) Byrd of Metter, GA.

He also leaves behind four sisters: Agnes Wells, of Metter, GA, Geraldine Phillips, of Metter,GA, Odessa Smith, of Metter, GA and Faye Mercer, of Statesboro, GA; two sons: Christopher Peoples of Unadilla, GA and Demario Mincey, of Metter, GA; three daughters: Ladawnya Braziel, of Hanahan, SC, Bishara Braziel, of North Chareston, SC and Angel Byrd, of Metter, GA; four granchildren: Akeria Braziel, of Hanahan, SC, Jordan Braziel, of Hanahan SC, Kayla Braziel, of Metter, GA and Elijah Byrd of Statesboro, GA.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Location: Whitaker Chapek 419 North Terrel Street Metter, GA. The burial site is Sams Creek.
