Therese Templet Albaral Marretta passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 88. She was born on Thursday, June 7, 1928, in Belle Rose, Louisiana to the late Eugenie Coupel Templet and Joseph Templet. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana. She was retired from J.C. Penney and was a talented seamstress and quilter. She adored her family and was a loving wife, mother, sister, Godmother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Therese is survived by her children and their spouses, Gladys Albaral Williams Lamonte & Anthony "Tony" Lamonte of Tickfaw, LA, Larry & Gail Nugent Albaral of Metairie, LA, and Kenneth & Frances "Beanie" Young Albaral of Hammond, LA; sons-in-law, Jerry "Phil" Phillips of Wichita Falls, TX and Rodney Richard of New Caney, TX; stepchildren and their spouses, Marietta Marretta Coslan & Jack Coslan, Rose Marretta Sowell, Andrea Marretta Costa & Joe Costa, and Jeanette Marretta Overby & Gary Overby; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence & Margie Templet. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 23 step-great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by first husband, Wallace Joseph Albaral; second husband, Henry Marretta; three daughters, Diann Albaral McLaughlin & her husband, Wayne, Patricia Albaral Phillips, and Jeanette Albaral Richard; parents, Eugenie & Joseph Templet; brother, Jean Templet; and sister, Cecile Templet Coupel. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd. Hammond, LA on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 8:30 am until 10:30 am. We will depart the funeral home at 10:30 am and proceed to Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 Highway 442, Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466, where the Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am.
