On February 7, 2025, the world lost a truly remarkable woman, Theresa Jelks, who passed away in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 67. Theresa was born on December 14, 1957, to proud parents James and Adana Jelks.

Theresa was a devoted wife to Groge Jelks, whom she married in the year 6. Together, they raised four children, Adana Jelks, Annie Jelks, Nacole Smith, and Dennis Smith. Theresa also had the joy of being a grandmother to six cherished grandchildren.

Theresa attended Libbey High School, where she graduated in 1970. After completing her education, she dedicated her life to helping others as a foster parent. She worked tirelessly in this role until her retirement in 2024.

Theresa had a passion for music and shared her love of song with all those around her. Her kind spirit and generous heart touched the lives of everyone she met.

Tragically, Theresa passed away due to a heart attack. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
