Miller, Theodore JTheodore Joseph "Ted" Miller, age 73, died peacefully on May 10, 2017 at Province Terrace Villas in Appleton, Wisconsin. Ted was born on August 13, 1943 in Green Bay the son of the late Marvin and Ruth (Hamblin) Miller. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Ted resided in Hawaii for over 30 years, where he held executive positions with Outrigger Canoe Club and Hilton Hawaii Hotel, and taught courses at the University of Hawaii. He loved baseball and the Green Bay Packers plus daily swims in the Pacific Ocean.Ted is survived by a brother, Stephen Miller and his children, David, and Daniel (Lury) and their children, Ian and Renata, along with his sisters, Anne Miller and her children, Stephannie, and Benjamin Keller; Lisa Miller and her son, Jacob Retelle. Ted was also preceded in death by an aunt, Virginia Hamblin Parish.A memorial gathering will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Good Company Restaurant of Appleton with Chaplain Brad McIntyre officiating.Ted's family would like to thank Ted's lifelong friend Bob Smits, Province Terrace Villas, and Compassus Hospice Care for their love and kindness.
