Theodora was born on May 31, 1929 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Alfonso and Genevieve DeMichele in Poughkeepsie, NY. She married Edward J. Byrd on July 24, 1947 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. He predeceased her on September 26, 2012.A local resident all her life, Theodora graduated from Poughkeepsie High School and was previously employed as an officer clerk at Kmart. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church.Theodora is survived by her son, Richard and wife Jill Byrd of Hyde Park, NY and grandson, Jonathan and wife Michelle Byrd of Highland, NY. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. Services will be on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:00am at the Funeral Home. Burial is to follow at St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
