Thelma M Hartley, age 85, originally from Mississippi and a longtime resident of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 02, 2023. She was a cherished minister at Christ Temple and was dearly loved by many in her congregation and community.

Thelma's journey of faith led her to Memphis, where she dedicated her life to serving others through her ministry at Christ Temple. Her compassionate heart touched the lives of countless individuals, and she will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion.

Thelma leaves behind a loving family, including her son Veodies, her son Timothy, her daughter Janet, a grandson named Colby, a grandson named Michael, a grandson named Jeffrey, and a granddaughter named Nicole. Her family was the source of her greatest joy and pride.

A visitation to honor Thelma's memory will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. Another visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cummings Street Missionary Baptist Church, 8800 Winchester Road, Memphis, TN 38116.

A funeral service to celebrate her remarkable life and ministry will follow on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cummings Street Missionary Baptist Church, 8800 Winchester Road, Memphis, TN 38125. Thelma's memory will be cherished during a reception from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on the same day at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.

A committal service will take place at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM.
