THELMA (SHARPE) KRAFT PORTAGE, IN Thelma (Sharpe) Kraft, age 94, of Portage, IN, passed away on November 23, 2016. She was born on May 12, 1922 in Michigan to Hugh and Lily (Hills) Sharpe. Thelma is survived by her brother, Keith (Janet) Sharpe; daughter-in-law, Renee Kraft; granddaughter, Alison (Daniel) Mills, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Earl Kraft; and son, Dr. Alan Kraft; daughter, Beverly VanCise and son-in-law, Dr. Thomas VanCise; brothers, Norman and Donald Sharpe; and sister, Hilda Tomkinson. Thelma was married for 74 years and a life member of the Purdue Alumni Association. She bowled for many years in Miller and loved to knit. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN 46368. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joshua Skogen officiating. Burial to follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage, IN.
