(Killgore) Brown. Terry received a master's degree in education from Corban University and served in the US Army during Vietnam. He married Nellie M. Diaz on August 24, 1968 in El Paso, TX. Terry was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Springfield, OR, was a crop duster, taught online for Chemeketa Community College, worked for the Oregon State Corrections Institution and was a captain for Oregon State Penitentiary. Terry was a pilot who flew 2 passenger airplanes and single engines. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, golf, playing the guitar and writing music. He was a member of the Marion Church of God Seventh-day and VFW. Terry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Nellie Brown, Elmira, OR; daughter, Angela Midkiff (Michael), Salem, OR; daughter, Lisa Canada (Matthew), Elmira, OR; mother, Nita M. Brown Eugene, OR; sister, Lonita Tope (Chris), Jefferson, OR; brother, Larry Brown (Marie), Eugene, OR; sister, Debi Rowe (Robert), Florence, OR; sister, Jackie Wrinkle, Eugene, OR; sister, Dorothy Hober, Creswell, OR; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Tony R. Brown (2008). A funeral followed by reception will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Marion Church of God Seventh-day, 7478 Stayton Rd.
