Teressa Louise Montgomery, 54, of Mount Airy, N.C., departed this earthly life on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Forsyth Hospital in Winston Salem, N.C. She was born on Oct. 9, 1962. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Thomas and Louise Sexton Montgomery; and four sisters.Survivors include her fiancé, Doug Joyner of Mount Airy, N.C.; his daughter, Dawn (Jody) Potts of King, N.C.; his sons, Thomas of Mount Airy, N.C., Nicolas of Statesville, N.C., and Keenan of Mount Airy, N.C.; three grandsons; one granddaughter; two sisters, Lynn (Wayne) Davis of Dugspur and Carla (Ken) McCauley of Salem; brother, Tom (Sue) Montgomery of Gainsville, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews.A celebration of Teressa's life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Church, 585 Deer Ridge Road, Hillsville, Va. 24343 with Pastor Paul Perkins officiating. There will be a period of visitation with a potluck meal following the service.
