Teresa "Terri" L. FreyMANSFIELD: Teresa "Terri" L. Frey, 62, of Mansfield but recently moved to Bellville, passed away at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. She was born on March 23, 1955 in Mansfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Viola (Shambaugh) Deems.Terri was a 1973 graduate of Madison High School where she was active playing trumpet in the band. She attended Ohio State University and North Central State College. She had been employed for 20 years at Sears and 16 years at Kronis Coating. Terri was a 30 year cancer survivor. She was an accomplished homemaker, who was extremely giving, caring and loving to others. Terri was loved by everyone that came in contact with her. As a charter member of the YMCA, she enjoyed exercising and staying fit. Terri enjoyed boating on Lake Erie with her husband, and they were former members of the Power Squadron during the 90s. Skiing and camping were some of her favorite pastimes as well.Terri is survived by her loving husband of 34 1/2 years, Steven Frey of Bellville; mother, Viola Deems of Mansfield; sister, Lisa Turner of Perrysville; brother, Brian (Jill) Deems of Hope Mills, NC; a brother-in-law, Bill Frey of Lexington; three nieces, Nellie Turner, Tammi Turner, and Jody (Drew) Osbun; a nephew, Brent Deems; two great-nieces, Kassi and Katee; two great-nephews, Jayce and J.J.; and her dog, Lucy. She is preceded in death by her father, Ken Deems and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Irene Frey.Friends and family may call from 3-5pm on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Andrew Jones and will be held at 10am on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
