Tammy Jane Rush JohnsonTammy Jane Rush Johnson, 53, of Lafayette passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident in Newton County.Tammy was born on May 15, 1963 in Logansport to Connie Kuszmaul Rush and the late James "Bill" Rush.Tammy graduated from Lewis Cass High School with the class of 1981. She went to receive her Secretary Certification from Indiana Business College.For the last 15 years she worked at Purdue University as a HR Manager. Prior to that she worked as a secretary for Prudential.Tammy loved riding Harley's with her boyfriend Richard and being outdoors. She also volunteered with CASA which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children.Surviving with her mother, Connie Rush of Logansport, are her daughters, Kaylee (fiancé Thaddeus Corrigan II) Johnson of Indianapolis and Mattea Johnson of Lafayette, her sister, Kathy (George) Troutman of Logansport, and Tammy's boyfriend Richard B. Neese. Also surviving is her nephew, Jason (Raquel) Cripe, her niece Aubrey (Jeremy) Aubrey, and 4 great nieces and nephews.A Memorial Service will be held at Fisher Funeral Chapel, 1801 Chase Road, Logansport on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 7 p.m. friends may call from 4 p.m. till the time of the service.Memorial Contributions may be made to CASA or to her daughter, Mattea's college fund.
