Talon Reese Burns was born March 29, 1988 in Lubbock, Texas to Amber Carter and Michael Thibedeau.  He passed away December 1, 2019 in Roscoe, Texas. Talon graduated from Monterey High School in 2005.  Talon went on a Chrysalis as a teenager.  He enjoyed youth group at Aldersgate UMC and volunteering his time.  He enjoyed gymnastics and was elected to the MHS cheerleading squad.  He served in the United States Marine Corps, 31st MEU.  He served overseas in Iraq and Korea, as well as Twenty-Nine Palms, California.  While in California, Talon became a father to his daughter Aurora Skye Burns.  Talon was very proud of his time in spent in the service of his country.  Talon was always making people smile with his laugh and joke telling.  His constant smile made him warm and approachable.  He never met a stranger he did not call friend within minutes.  Everyone that knew him has a "Talon" story that brings laughter to the room.  

He is survived by his daughter Aurora.

Talon was adopted as a child by the Burns' Family.  He is survived by parents Chad and Lizabeth Burns, siblings Ryan, Taylor, Cody, Hannah, and Alex; Grandmothers Roma Sutter and Beverly Terry; Uncle Mike Terry and cousin Fallon Terry, Aunt Sue (Mike) Perkins with cousins Kyle and Dylan, and Aunt Sarah (Dan) Hirt aith cousin Sam.  

Talon leaves behind his wife, Kirsten and her children Brody, Braylee and Jordyn, his ex-wife and friend, Kayla Burns, and a group of friends he considered family. 

He is survived by his biological family Amber Proctor (Donald), Evan Carter (Soluna), Aaron Rodriguez (Martha), Justin Rodriguez, Jennifer Thibedeau (Jason), and Chris Thibedeau (Josie);nieces and nephews, Daniel, Alexander, Josiah, Jeslynn, Jenesis, Chase, Brock and Laura; Grandparents Jim and Cherry Carter.
