Sylvia Mae Estrella, 82, passed on November 27, 2022. She was born to Roberto Estrella and Sallie Lopez in Chihuahua City, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 11, 1940.

She married David Rodriguez in 1962 and they lived together in Edinburg, Texas. Together they raised 2 children Esmi Hernandez (Micheal Hernandez ), Thomas Rodriguez (Mary Rodriguez). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren.

Sylvia worked as a Nurse until she retired in 1998 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people.

“Don't think of her as gone away as her new journey has just begun. Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how she must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. Think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched... For nothing loved is ever lost just missed, She was loved by many and missed by all as we say our goodbye we ask the Lord to watch her as she takes her new journey to the heavens. ”
