Sylvia Lorene HolmesSylvia Lorene Holmes of Kent, WA passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the age of 78.Sylvia is survived by her sons Mike, Greg, Dan and Ed Holmes; her sisters, Carol McIver and Faye Curtis; her brother, Larry Auker and 7 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Holmes; her son, David Holmes and her parents, James and Florence Auker.Sylvia was born on October 7, 1938 in Auburn, WA. She grew up as the eldest of four and graduated from Kent-Meridian High School in 1956 before marrying her husband in 1958. After her husband's death in 1970, she embarked on a career as a real estate agent before retiring in 1998. The funeral will take place on November 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Marlatt's Funeral Home in Kent with a reception following at Kent Covenant Church.
