Sylvia BodifordSylvia Griner Bodiford, 74, of Tallahassee, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in Lloyd, Florida surrounded by loved ones. The wife of the late Luther Bodiford, Jr. and a daughter of the late Thomas L. Griner, Sr. and the late Nellie Sasser Griner, she was born on August 29, 1942, in Quitman, Georgia.She was a bookkeeper at Wal-Mart and Jr's Bait and Tackle, and in her spare time she enjoyed visiting with family and friends, traveling, and going to gospel sings.Survivors include her children, David Earl Marshall, Tammy Marshall Willier (husband, Craig) and James Olan Marshall; grandchildren, Joshua Neal Dameron (wife, Christy), Angel Lashea Dameron, Earl Russ (wife, Tina), James McDonald, Alyssa Marshall and Cory Willier; great-grandchildren, Kylee Dameron, Jacob Dameron, Madison Russ and Savannah Grace Willier. She is also survived by her siblings, Gail Chadwick, Maxine Vaughan (husband, John), Rhonda Griffin and Thomas "Buddy" Griner, Jr., and many nieces and nephews she loved.A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life is 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Abbey Funeral Home.
