Sylvestra "Berta" G. MorenoFOSTORIA: Sylvestra "Berta" G. Moreno, 89, of Fostoria, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, OH. She was born on January 31, 1927 in San Marcos, TX to Pablo and Virginia (Rodriguez) Guardiola. Berta married Pablo A. Moreno in March of 1948 in Lockhart, TX and he preceded her in death in November of 1987. Berta worked at the Fremont Kraut Company and retired after many years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Berta enjoyed working in her yard and flower beds and loved to knit.Berta is survived by her children, Fausto Luna, Weiser, ID, Gloria Gonzalez, Paula Gerrerquerez both of Caldwell, ID, Florentino (Jackie) Moreno Dugger, IN, Guadalupe (Shirley) Moreno, Fremont, OH, Santiago (Donella) Moreno, Denver, Co, Ricardo Moreno, Fostoria, OH and Trina (Martin) Zamudio, San Benito, TX; daughter-in-law, Deana Moreno, Findlay; sister, Maria (Alfonso) Garcia; sisters-in-law, Josefa Guardiola and Karen Guardiola, all of Fremont, OH; thirty-seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pablo A. Moreno; son, Domingo Moreno; brothers, Sixto and Louis Guardiola.Visitation: Friday, January 20, 2017 from 10:00 am until noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E State St., Fremont, OH. Services will begin at Noon after visitation at the funeral home with Fr.
