Susan Johnson, 68, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed on June 05, 2023. Susan was born on December 08, 1954. Susan showed so much love to others and believed in doing right by others. She graduated from Wichita East High School with the Class of 1954. Susan was active with the Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF), it was with this group that she would enjoy camping trips, and other social gatherings. Then attending Wichita State University and was an active member of the schools Pep Club "The Wheaties" and the women's sorority Alpha Chi Omega as well as the National Christian Women's Sisterhood (Kappa Phi). She would graduate in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts. 

Susan worked in a flower shop in Wichita, Kansas for a number of years where she was able to use her creative skills to arrange and create beautiful flower displays. After a 5-year long distance relationship, she married Kenneth Johnston on June 18, 1961, and together they would travel the world and make many new friends and memories. 

Susan was an active member of the Stepping Stones Gardening Club in the Briarcliff area for 40 years where she was extremely proud of her flower arrangements and the friendly competitions within the group, the Kansas City Symphony Guild for 30 years. Within the guild she was the music chair responsible for coordinating the artists to play during the Homes of Note Tour events to raise money for the Kansas City Symphony. 

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Audrey Shaw; and several cousins. 

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kenneth; many grandkids ,many nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many friends that will miss her dearly.
