Susan Donnan Arnold LloydKnoxville, TNSusan Donnan Arnold Lloyd, age 82 of Knoxville, died peacefully on June 12, 2017 following a brief illness. Susan was born on Aug 23, 1934 to Mary Margaret Downes Arnold and Alvin F. Arnold in Rochester, NY. She attended Keuka College in NY and married David B. Lloyd on Aug 7, 1954. Susie was a long time member of Fountain City Presbyterian Church where she served many years as the Church Secretary, Deacon, and Stephen Minister. Susan loved to putter in the garden and some of her happiest days were spent walking the beaches or enjoying the peaceful ocean breeze with her family. Susie gave generously of her time and talent by volunteering at several Knoxville area hospital auxiliaries, the Fountain City Ministry Center, and the Knoxville Habitat for Humanity Thrift Store. Susan is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 63 years, David, by their son Peter and wife Ellen, grandchildren Matthew and Sarah, by their son Scot and wife Dawn, grandchildren David and Andrew and wife Sarah. The family would like to extend their heartfelt and sincere gratitude to the many loving friends and church family of Fountain City Presbyterian Church who have through the years become a wonderful extension of Dave and Susie's family; God bless you each and all. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if donations were made in memory of Susie to Knoxville Habitat for Humanity or the Fountain City Ministry Center. Family and friends will gather at Fountain City Presbyterian Church on Friday July 14th beginning at 6:30pm followed by a memorial service at 7:30pm. A private family graveside service will take place at a later time.
