RACINE - Steven R. Meyer, 66, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice. He was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on January 30, 1947, the son of the late Herman and Florence (nee: Hansen) Meyer. Steve was a Washington Park High School graduate. He continued his education at Gateway Technical College, taking classes in supervision and manufacturing. On September 15, 1990, Steve was united in marriage to Lupita Cazares in Racine. He had been employed with Haban Manufacturing, InSinkErator, Unico and retired from Bombardier in 2009. Steve was a member of and traveled with InSinkErator Sportsman Club. He also coached the InSinkErator girls' softball team. He had many interests, including traveling, tending his vegetable garden, rummage sales, Classic Car shows and loved to fish. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and going for walks with his dog, Munchie. Steve is survived by his wife, Lupita; children, Kristin Struebing, Karren Brumm and Steven (Lynn) Meyer; grandchildren, Jonathon, Casey, Jacob, Justin, Timmy, Shannon, Randy, Roxi, and Tyler and many great grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother Billy Allen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul Robert Meyer and a sister, Loretta Arneson.
