Rohan, Steven JosephSteven J. Rohan, age 48, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. He was born on March 18, 1969, son of Phillip Rohan and the late Diane (Weyenberg) Rohan. Steve had a passion for antique cars, and was an avid car show participant. He enjoyed singing karaoke with his beloved wife, Kim (Kessler) Rohan. Their cats, Scooter and Gracie meant the world to him. Steve enjoyed cutting grass and was always up for a good burger. He had been employed by the Freedom School District for over 30 years. Steve is survived by his wife, Kim; his father, Phillip (Audrey) Rohan; siblings: Sarah Rohan, Robin Kartes and Ryan (Amanda) Rohan; father and mother-in-law: James George and Pat Kessler; sisters-in-law: Karen (Keith) Merkatoris and Kathy Stock; aunts and uncles: Dick (Connie) Rohan, Mary Weyenberg, Alice Coenen, Jane (Dick) Menting, Betty Mischler, Linda Weyenberg, Judy Verstegen, Kathy (Dick) Peterson and Rose (Merle) Hietpas; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Diane; a brother-in-law and best friend, Mark Kessler; aunts and uncles: Mona (Ralph) Stark, Bob Weyenberg, Marv Coenen, Ben Mischler, Lee Weyenberg and Dennis Chambers. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Freedom Location, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning, May 2, 2017, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N.
