Greenville | Steven J Cotter, passed away April 2, 2016, at Vidant Medical Center. Steve was born on April 29, 1955, in Bronx, NY to the late Raymond P Cotter and Sieglinde W Cotter Henry. He is also preceded in death by his nephew, Shaun Cheney of Cocoa Beach, FL.Steve previously lived in Jacksonville, NC and moved to Greenville, NC in 1996. Steve volunteered at Onslow Memorial Hospital and Vidant Medical Center, with having over 5,000 hours at each hospital. Steve loved to walk all over Greenville and never met a stranger.Steve is survived by his brothers, Ron Cotter of Truth of Consequences, NM and Jeff Cotter and wife Mary of Greenville; sister, Loraine C Cheney of Cocoa Beach, FL; nephew, James Cheney and wife Danielle of Germantown, TN., niece, Marla Cotter of Seattle, WA; and great-niece, Juliet Cheney of Germantown TN. Steve will be missed by family and friends.A private burial will be conducted in New York at a later date.
