Steve Smith, 67, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away on November 26, 2023, in his hometown. Wally, as he preferred to be called, was born on July 18, 1956, in Ocean Springs.

Loved life and possessed a kindhearted nature, Wally welcomed everyone with open arms. He had a vibrant personality that endeared him to those around him. Wally's passing leaves behind a void in the lives of his loved ones.

Wally is survived by his son, Eric Smith, and daughter, Khadiya (Quinton) McCloud. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Elaine Fairley, as well as his brother, Glenn King, and his brothers Michael Smith and Prentiss Green. Mildred Smith, his sister, also mourns his loss.

Wally's legacy extends to his grandchildren: Bri'Anna Smith, Arianna Smith, John Dixon, Julian Dixon, and Lauren Reynolds. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and cousins who will cherish his memory.

In his professional life, Wally was a First Class painter at Huntington Ingalls Industries. He took great pride in his work, showcasing his expertise and dedication.

Outside of work, Wally had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He enjoyed sports, gambling, barbecuing, dancing, and fishing. These activities allowed him to unwind and create lasting memories with his loved ones.

The family will hold a private ceremony to honor Wally's life. Details regarding the ceremony will be released accordingly. Marshall Funeral Home in Biloxi, Mississippi, is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Wally "Steve" Smith will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindhearted nature and zest for life will forever be remembered. May he rest in peace.
