Steve Albert Demko Jr., age 63, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015, after a lengthy illness. He was born on December 21, 1951, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Steve Albert Sr., and Georgia Mae (Tate) Demko. On August 10, 1987, in Brookville, PA, he married Norma Jean Smith. Steve served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He worked in delivery of medical supplies. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Denise Marie Sandy of DuBois, PA, and Janet Rybacki of McKeesport, PA; 3 sisters, Lenore Demko, Kimberly Thomas, and Jennifer Schipani, all of Pittsburgh, PA; 2 brothers, George Demko of Pittsburgh, PA, and Mark Demko of Brookville, PA; 2 grandchildren, Cole and Gage Rybacki. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Steiner. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015, at the McKinney – d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825, beginning at 10:00am, with Pastor Kevin Bockus officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Friends of Pittsburgh Fisher House, 3945 Forbes Ave. #240, Pittsburgh, PA, 15213. Interment to take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
