Stephen L. Stiles, Sr.YorkStephen L. Stiles, Sr., 59, died Friday, June 24, 2016 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Sheila R. (Bare) Stiles, with whom he celebrated a 40th Wedding Anniversary this past July 27th.Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with Barry Dayhoff, officiating. Viewings will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Stephen was born on October 16, 1956 in York and was a son of Bernard C. Stiles and his wife, Deborah Stiles of McSherrystown and the late Helen A. (Russell) Stiles.He was employed for over seven years as a forklift operator for United Natural Foods in York and also for several other local companies over the years. He had also worked as an Auto Service Advisor for Toyota Dealerships in York and Hanover.He was a member of the Glen Rock and the Hanover Church of Christ. He loved his family and enjoyed using his sense of humor of joking and kidding with his family and many friends. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens Fan and loved Hot Rods. He had also bowled in several local leagues in the York and Hanover area, played softball with several teams and enjoyed fishing.Stephen also leaves two daughters, Stephanie A. Franklin of York, Sonya F. Ravenscroft and her husband, Bill of Spring Grove; a son, Stephen L. Stiles Jr. and his wife, Brandy of Spring Grove; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Tessa, Kyle, Nathen, Riley, Brianna, Shawn and Samantha; three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Lyla and Braicen; three brothers, Jeffery Stiles of Hershey and Gregory Stiles and Jason Stiles of Hanover; and by a foster son, Dan Shenberger and his wife, Michelle of Dover.Memorial contributions may be made to the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, Pa 17327 to assist the family with funeral expenses.Condolences may be shared at geiple.com.
