This obituary is administered by:

Stephen Fry, 28, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed Monday, January 22, 2018. Stephen was born February 02, 1989 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Stephen received a degree from Western Michigan University in 2011 in English, which he used to pursue a career in writing. He worked as an online content contributor to multiple journalism outlets including The Washington Post, and the Grand Rapids Press.

His family remembers him for his comedic nature, and his ability to put a smile on the face of anyone. He spent much of his free time dirt biking, a passion since childhood. He also was an avid naturist, spending much time throughout his life camping, hiking, and maintaining a large garden at his home that became the envy of the neighborhood.

He was preceded in death by two siblings, Amber and Keith. He is survived by his parents, Gary and Kristy of Caledonia, MI; his brother, Jason of Sparta, MI; and daughter, Faith, of Grand Rapids, MI.

A small, private memorial service will be held with family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising awareness of substance abuse, at http://www.amywinehousefoundation.org/donate/
