Stella S. Jordan 1921 - 2016WHITESBORO - Stella S. Jordan, 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at The Presbyterian Home, with her loving family by her side.She was born on December 14, 1921, in Utica, a daughter of the late Richard and Stefania Bawarski. Stella was married to Alphonse Jordan, a blessed union until his passing in 2001. She was formerly employed by A.D. Juilliard, General Electric, and BOCES. She was a member of Sacred Heart/St. Mary's Church, N.Y. Mills. Stella was a dedicated mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking for her family. She also enjoyed going to garage sales.Stella is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Mary Jordan and Robert Jordan, all of Whitesboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Anthony Collea, of New Hartford; six cherished grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Maggio; two sisters-in-law, Gladys and Marilyn Jordan; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Louis and Ray Jordan; and several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by two sisters, Ann and Connie; and two brothers, John and Stanley.The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff of the Maple Unit at the Presbyterian Home and Chaplain Tom Lorenz for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Stella.Stella's funeral will be held Friday, December 2, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. from Wolanin Funeral Home, Inc., 266 Main St., New York Mills, and at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart/St. Mary's Church, New York Mills. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus and Casimir Cemetery, Whitestown.
