Stella E. Tapia, 66, a resident of Las Vegas passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016, in Las Vegas.She was born on April 9, 1950, to Jose Perfecto Cruz and Susana J. Montoya in Las Vegas.She worked as an administrative secretary at the library at New Mexico Highlands University. She enjoyed arts and crafts and taught dancing.She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Susana Cruz; brothers, David Cruz, Paul Cruz and Sammy Cruz.She is survived by her husband, Danny Tapia of Las Vegas; children, Vinia Ebell and husband, Zac, of Las Vegas, Felicia Tapia-Alvidrez and husband, Timo, of Albuquerque, Patricio Tapia and wife, Jenna, of Las Vegas, Christina Tapia, all of Las Vegas; sister, Alice Gallegos and husband, Eddie, of Santa Fe; brother, Erminio Cruz and wife, Josie, of Wagon Mound; sister-in-law, Frances Cruz of Gallup; grandchildren, Kassandra Tapia, J.D. Marquez, Andres Alvidrez and Emily Alvidrez.Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral service will be conducted at 9 a.m. on Friday also at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V.
