Stanley Lawrence Gist II, Known as 'BIG HANK" was born on June 13, 1976. to the Parents of Bonita Jordan and Stanley Gist Sr. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stanley, on February 5, 2024 a beloved member of the Detroit community. Stanley, graduated from Denby High School and went on to pursue a career driving on the road. In late 2002 Stanley met Tracie Box and started their blended family welcoming 4 beautiful children Lisa, Trayontae, Lil Stanley III and Lania and He was also a bonus parent to all of her children. If anyone knows Stanley, he loved all of his kids. Stanley leaves behind his grandmother, Willie Bell Gist, his father Stanley Lawrence Gist Sr., his beloved mother Bonita Denise Jordan, one sister, Angela Monique Gist, Two brothers Steven Lawrence Gist Sr. and Sterling Lawren Gist. One sister-in Law Relacha Gist. Nephews Allen Gist, Steven Gist Jr., Sean Gist. 3 nieces, Lauren, Arianna ad Layla. A host of aunts and uncles. but, Bubba he was more than a uncle to Stan and I know he would want to say I'm sorry Bubba. Stanley was known for his kind heart, warm smile, and gentle spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. Stanley lived his life with a passion for helping others and making the world a better place. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered for his infectious laugh and unwavering dedication to those around him. May he rest in peace.
