We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Sonya Taylor, of Chicago, Illinois. She was born on February 17, 1970, to La’soyn Fields and Heather Sims.

Sonya married her beloved husband, John Taylor, in the year 15, and they were blessed with two children, Johnee Galloway and Keasia Mccoy. She was also a proud grandparent.

Sonya studied at Frederick Douglas High School and graduated in 1982. She had a love for life and enjoyed having fun with friends as one of her many hobbies.

Sonya will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
