Shirley Teigland RACINE — Shirley Teigland, 82, passed away on September 29, 2013. Shirley was born on May 5, 1931 to the late Frank and Florence Kirkendoll in Des Moines, Iowa. Shirley was united to the love of her life, her husband Frank, in 1951. They were married for 59 years before he passed away. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved going to the theatre and had a passion for reading. Shirley adored attending German Club. Shirley will be deeply missed by her daughter, Cindy (Jim) Rewald; son Scott (Cheryl) Teigland; grandchildren, Stacey Papas, Kelly Zanis, Scott and Heather Teigland; great-grandchildren, Kailey and Ryder Papas, and Madyson Skyy Haines. She will also be missed by numerous friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Frank Teigland; her parents Frank and Florence Kirkendoll; and her brothers, John and Robert Kirkendoll. Funeral services in memory of Shirley will be held on October 2, 2013 at 11am at the Wilson Funeral Home. Friends and relatives may meet with the family from 9am until the time of service at 11am.
