Lawrence , Shirley M.Shirley M. Lawrence, 76, Vesper, died on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at her home. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Shirley was born on February 27, 1941 in Stevens Point, to Henry and Mary (Thiemke) Darr. She was united in marriage to James D. Lawrence on May 20, 1961 in Marshfield. Shirley was employed at Pittsville Homes for many years. She then owned and operated Shirley's Country Green House in Vesper. She was an active member of the YMCA and enjoyed the outdoors, flowers and plants. She is survived by her husband, Jim and their children, Douglas (fiancée - Ione Fontinele) Lawrence of Vesper, Lorraine (Patrick) Hegedus of Larsen and Richard (special friend - Debbie Delacruz) Lawrence of Sparta and a grandson, Caleb (special friend - Holly Honish) Lawrence. She is also survived by her siblings, Ellen (Raymond) Hoffman of Auburndale, Ralph Darr of Pittsville, Joyce Kroening of Loyal, Roger Darr of Marshfield and Dale (Cheryl) Darr of Pittsville.
