Shirley Guynn of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on January 23, 1943, to Roman J. Yoder and Katie (Hochstedler) Yoder.

Shirley married her beloved husband, Walter V. Guynn, in 1962 and together they had two children, Amanda Guynn and Danielle West. She also leaves behind eight adoring grandchildren, Miriam West, Katie West, Evan West, Asher West, Josiah West, Deviyoughn Hartson, Trejaughn Guynn, and Keevaughn Guynn.

Shirley was a graduate of Western High School, class of 1961. She worked at Shirley’s diner for many years before retiring in 2011. She was also known for her involvement in organizing food banquets in the community.

Outside of work, Shirley had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy, including playing Bingo, solving puzzles, knitting, swimming, listening to music, and playing volleyball.

Shirley will always be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
