Shirley Johnson, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on August 16, 2024, in Oakland, California, at the age of 77.

Shirley was born on April 6, 1947, to Bishop Herschel Jones and Hattie Mae Jones. She is survived by her loving partner, Clifford James Johnson, her children Clifford Junior and Laverne, as well as her six grandchildren.

Shirley attended Oakland High School and continued her studies at Mills College. She worked as a preschool teacher and retired in 2015. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.Shirley also was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Terrell, Harry , Monique, Julius.

Shirley will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, and love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
