She was born on April 10, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa.Sam had the most generous loving heart, always putting her loved ones before herself without a moment's hesitation. She cherished every moment spent with her family who she loved with all of her heart. Sam's bright smile, kind heart, stubbornness, and contagious laughter will be deeply missed. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Angela (Ivan) Kimmel, Pamela (Martin) Gaytan, Pudgy (Heather) Delateur, Michael (Julie) Delateur, and Hank (Brandi) Delateur; husband, Rick Petefish; 21 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Jack, David, and Charlie; and sisters, Tina, Terri, Carol, and Peggy.Sam was preceded in death by her brother, Bones; parents, Jack and Shirley Kimmel; and granddaughter, Chasity.Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
