Shira Rae Lynch, 100, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away on March 14, 2022.

Shira was born in the Bronx, NY to Hilde and Morton Lynch on April 22, 1921. She went to high school at Walt Whitman High School in Huntington, NY and graduated in 1939. She went on to earn a Masters Degree in Nursing from Hofstra University. She worked as a nurse in the Pediatric ICU for Long Island LIJ Hospital for 27 years. She enjoyed singing, dancing, and telling stories to and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Shira is survived by her children, Mary of Las Vegas, NV, and Lawrence of East Meadow, NY. Her grandchildren: Brian, Tiffany, Deborah, Steven, William, Alexis, and Carter. Her great grandchildren: Shannon, Rachel, and Thomas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman, and her daughter, Deborah.

Funeral service will be held at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetary in North Lauderdale, FL on March 18, 2022 at 11:00am with Rabbi Borovitz of Temple Bat Yam officiating.
