Sherri Leigh Odom Johnson, 55, of Poplarville, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in Picayune, Mississippi and raised in Poplarville, Mississippi, Sherri lived a life rooted in faith, family, and the simple joys of Southern living.

She is survived by her children, Hickory Coleman (Christi Albert) and Ja’Leigh Coleman (Javaze Bowden); as well as her five beloved grandchildren: Koen Blaine Coleman, Paisleigh Grace Coleman, Elleigh Aline Coleman, Harleigh-Jo Cynthia Coleman, and her unborn granddaughter, Ja’Kaelen Storm Bowden, due in March; along with her brother Anthony Odom and nephew Cody Odom.

Sherri is preceded in death by her parents, Ronnie Odom and Brenda (Clinton) Bond; her husband, Timothy Johnson; her son, Conan Coleman; and her nephew Seth Odom.

Sherri loved Jesus wholeheartedly and publicly dedicated her life to the Lord on October 26, 2025, at West Poplarville Baptist Church—a moment that brought her deep peace and renewed purpose.

Known for her vibrant spirit and warm heart, Sherri was the life of every gathering. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand and had a special love for the outdoors. She also enjoyed good music, especially her favorite artist, Kid Rock.

Sherri’s joyful spirit, infectious laughter, and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service for Sherri will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at West Poplarville Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. Friends are invited to join the family from 1:00 pm until the service begins. The family extends an invitation to join them for a time of fellowship and a meal after the service concludes.
