It is with heavy hearts that we bud a farewell to me. Shelly griffin, 52, of port st. Lucie, Florida, who passed away on march 5, 2022. She is fondly remembered for her profound selflessness, boundless compassion, and immense love for her family. No one will forget her cheerful smile, friendly personalit, and her general concern for others.Shelly was born on September 7, 1969, in Hammond, Indiana,the first of two children born to Diane Kirby and Raymond Griffin.  She graduated from Hammond High School, where she enthusiastically earned a varsity softball pin.  She was a lifelong sports fan.

Bringing two incredible sons into the world was a defining moment in Shelly’s life.  Motherhood came to her naturally.  Anthonie and Nicholas were the apple of her eye, and she was very proud to watch them blossom in adulthood.  Spending quality time with her family meant everything to this remarkable woman.

Ms. Griffin truly lived her life in service of others, doing everything she could to help those in need, including animals.  She was the first to volunteer for any opportunity she encountered to give back to her community.  A passionate animal lover, this angel thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at the local shelter.  Shelly was an avid gardener, thanks to knowledge and skill passed down from her mother, whom she idolized and adored.  She even planted gardens for the homeless.

Shelly was preceded in death by her loving brother, Joseph Griffin, who passed in August of 2021.  Left to cherish her memory are her devoted sons, Anthonie and Nicholas Griffin; doting mother, Diane Kirby; adoring step-brother, Robert Kirby; and many dear friends.  Her beautiful legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 20th at 1:00 PM.  They will take place at Stone Brothers Funeral Home.
