GRUNTZ - Shelley (nee Horan) Age 57, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia. She was born on May 27, 1959, in Tonawanda, New York to Donald and Phyllis (Niethe) Horan. She met Peter Gruntz, and on November 25, 1977, the two were married and resided in Tonawanda. In 1982, Peter and Shelley moved to Northern Virginia to establish roots in Herndon, VA where they raised their two boys, Jeff (Beth) and Peter. Family, friends, and others, whose lives Shelley touched are invited to the Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home, 3070 Delaware Ave, Kenmore, NY from 4 PM - 7 PM on Friday, November 4, 2016, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat. Friends are invited to attend a funeral Service Saturday, November 5, 11 AM at the Tonawanda Free Methodist Church, 207 Grove St, Tonawanda.
