A homegoing celebration for Ms. Shelia Jeanette Godfrey, 53, of Tampa, FL, who departed this life Tuesday, February 3, 2015, will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 2 pm at Ray Williams Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 301 North Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Dr. C.T. Kirkland, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 East Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.

She is cherished with fond memories by her loving mom, Rosa Lee Hermitt of Tampa; her only daughter, Frederica Ponder; sons, Joshua Powell and Warren Bowen (Alethea); granddaughters, Deaerra Williams, Janai Powell, and Jayla Bowen; grandson, Jude Bowen; sisters, Linda Godfrey, Gladys Godfrey, both of Detroit, MI, Cynthia Altine and Charlotte Waters of Tampa, and Marlean Hermitt; brothers, James Anderson Jr. of Germany, Gent Lee Godfrey Jr., Matiland Hermitt, and Marlon Hermitt of Tampa; nieces; nephews; lifelong friends, Crystal Walker, Valerie Bass, Ella Rose Chapman, and Beverly Clayton; special friends, Alton Bowen and Greg Beeman; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Friday, February 13, 2015 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 North Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
