Sheila graduated from Danbury High School and moved to Manhattan to attend the Flower Fifth Avenue School of Nursing where she met and married her first husband, C. Donald Kuntze, in 1948.They lived for a while in Frankfurt, Germany, before settling in Leonia, N.J., in 1956 and together they raised four children. The family spent winter and summer vacations enjoying the outdoors in North Conway, N.H., and Lake George, N.Y.With her nursing degree Sheila gave her attention and love as a nurse at Englewood Hospital in New Jersey and as a private duty nurse at the New York Hospital for Special Surgery. Later in life, Sheila volunteered in triage/admissions at Glens Falls Hospital in upstate New York. Sheila's final move was to Brunswick, Ga., in 2015 to be near her daughter, Megan. She thrived at full capacity doing all the things she loved while living in a wonderful community on the Golden Isles Coast.Sheila was genuinely witty, very social, a great cook and a fabulous hostess. She loved many things including snow skiing, water skiing, fishing, swimming, tennis, knitting, boating on their Chris Craft, daily crossword puzzles and cocktail hour. Lake George was her true love and was a part of her family's heritage dating back to the 1920s. She also played bridge regularly and had a deep passion for Scrabble. On the day before she passed, she landed a seven-letter word on a triple score. Sheila lived a charmed life and she knew it.
