Shawn P. QuarryONTARIO: Shawn P. Quarry, 37, of Ontario passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Avita Ontario Hospital. Shawn was the son of Terry and Jackie (Tinkey) Quarry and was born on April 17, 1980 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.Passionate about life, Shawn was a caring, loving man, and was a devoted uncle that greatly enjoyed being actively involved with his niece and all her activities. He had a strong bond with his niece, Mackenzie. Shawn was a 1998 graduate of Blue River Valley High School where he was a member of the marching band. He played drums and saxophone and competed in many competitions. He also attended Purdue University. Shawn worked previously at Walmart and General Motors. A sports fan at heart, he enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings, Grand Rapids Griffins, Chicago Cubs and the Cincinnati Bengals. Shawn enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his niece. He loved his pets and reading Stephen King novels. He had a love for computers and doing graphics. Left behind to cherish Shawn's memory are his parents, Terry and Jackie Quarry; sister, Tammy Quarry; beloved niece, Mackenzie Shick; grandmother, Irene Tinkey all of Ontario; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Karl Tinkey; paternal grandparents, Robert and Beryl Quarry; and an uncle, Robert Quarry Jr..At this time, there will be no services observed.
