Sharon L. Christenson ParkerApril 11, 1944 - November 9, 2013Sharon Lareen Christenson Parker, age 69, of McCammon, Idaho passed away on November 9th, 2013 after losing a battle with cancer. She was born on April 11, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Grant Vernon Christenson and Violet Pearl Clauson Christenson Barzee.Sharon graduated from West High in Salt Lake and then she went on to get a Bachelor's Degree in Education at Westminster College. There she met Stephen Kent Parker and started a family. After teaching elementary school for a few years, they adopted a son, Robert L. Parker, and a daughter, Stephanie Parker. Sharon then retired from teaching to raise her children and later ran her own business, Mystery Lake Boarding Kennels in McCammon, Idaho. Sharon had a passion for animals and raised Chesapeake Bay Retrievers with her husband. Sharon assisted in the training of many famous dogs and whelped many litters of puppies for the good of the breed. Her contributions to this world will be sorely missed. Sharon is survived by her mother, Violet; husband, Steve; and son and daughter, Robert and Stephanie.A memorial service and open house is planned from 12 PM to 4 PM on Thursday, November 14th at the family home in McCammon, Idaho.
