Sharon K. Caldwell71, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 23, 2017. She was born on October 10, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN.She retired from the Indianapolis Police Department on August 10, 1992. She was appointed as a law enforcement officer on February 10, 1969.Throughout her career she served as a detective, was very active in the recovery unit, and worked in the child abuse division.  After retiring she worked as an office manager for 7 years at Tomlin Realtors.Survivors include her sister, Marilyn Sue Mackey (Susie); sister-in-law, Jeanne Brannon Tomlin; nieces, Angela Tomlin (John Jester), Julie (Tim) LaCreta, Lori Tomlin (David) Orman, Fran (Marty) Davey, Liz O'Neill, Laura Rozen, Sarah (Eric) Henz; nephews, David (Sarah) Cook and Ross (Angie) Mackey; 21 great nieces and nephews; and 3 great-great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Caldwell; mother, Mary Belford Tomlin; and brothers, Bill and Michael Tomlin.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. at G. H.
