Sharon Joyce Farmer, 81, of Ridgeville, IN, joined her Lord and Savior in glory on November 5th, 2024 peacefully at Albany Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Sharon was born in Portland, IN, on March 1, 1943, a daughter of the late Ethel Jane (Brunson) and Evan Dilworth. She was a graduate of Jay Co. High School and went on to receive a degree from Asbury University in 1961. Sharon was the loving wife of Larry Farmer who she happily married on July 10, 1993. She retired from Jay County Hospital Food Service Department on June 13, 2015, and enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, canning, collecting knickknacks, playing Sudoku, piano, loved music, and played at many area churches. Sharon is survived by her husband Larry, two sons; Larry D. Nuckols (Donna), Jeffrey A. Nuckols, six daughters; Tamara "Tam" Lynn Blair (Alan), Jennifer D. Estes, Beth Ann Farmer, Tammi L. Ellington, Jackie Sue Prescott, Rhonda Rae Donham, 1 brother; Tim Dilworth, two sisters; Judy Hesson, Carolyn Berrier (Rev. Gary Berrier), 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son Thaddeus S. Nuckols, and son-in-law Jeffery Max Estes. Friends are invited to call Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 12-2 PM at West Main Evangelical Methodist Church in Portland, IN. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Steve Arnold and Brother Dave McClellan officiating. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to EMC 930 W. Main St. Portland, IN. 47371, Gideons International, Dementia or Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries.
