Hegewald, SharonSharon M. Hegewald, 73, Birnamwood, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital, Antigo.She was born on February 2, 1943 in Wittenberg, the daughter of the late Melvin and Goldie (Bricco) Bessette.On April 25, 1964, Sharon was united in marriage to Norman Hegewald at Holy Family Catholic Church, Wittenberg. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2005.Sharon and Norman farmed in the town of Norrie until retirement. Sharon also worked for a number of years at Figi's and Top Brass. She enjoyed reading, watching sports on television and the occasional trip to the casino, but she loved spending time with her family.Survivors include, three sons, Ron (Pam) Hegewald, Birnamwood, Jim (Lisa) Hegewald, Barnesville, MN and Dan (Jenny) Hegewald, Birnamwood; five grandchildren, Andrew, Michael, Jessica, Jasmine and Alexandria; one sister, Lorraine Borchardt, Milwaukee and two brothers, Dennis Bessette, Clintonville and Dale Bessette, Wautoma. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.In addition to her parents and husband, Sharon was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Schaar and two brothers, Harold Bessette and Ronald Bessette.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 5pm on Friday, November 4, 2016 at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. Fr. Anthony Ibekwe will officiate. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 3pm until the time of services at the church.
