Shantel Francis, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 25, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born on July 17, 1958, to Delbert and Ionie Francis.

Shantel leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, as well as four children: Lionel Lawrence, Damion Francis, Chanel Lawrence, and Shantasia Bailey. She was also a proud grandmother to six grandchildren:Talita Lawrence, Damia Lawrence, Sade Smith, Donald Francis, Johnathan Francis, and Damion Francis Jr.

Shantel attended Mandeville High School before beginning her career at St. Mary's Hospital, where she worked until her retirement in 2020. In her free time, she enjoyed hobbies such as cleaning, cooking, singing, and sewing.

Shantel will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
