a life well lived

We are saddened to announce the passing of Shantel Francis, who brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Born on July 17, 1958, in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of Delbert and Ionie Francis.

Shantel married the love of her life, Robert Francis, in 1980, and together they raised four wonderful children: Shantasia, Veneshia, Germaine, and Kadeem. Family meant everything to Shantel, and her greatest joy came from spending time with her five precious grandchildren: Shamar Hemmings, Miracle Golding, Talita Lawrence, Kaylee Crooke, and Anthony Francis.

After graduating from Porus High School, Shantel embarked on a fulfilling career at St. Mary's Hospital, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion.

In her free time, Shantel enjoyed cooking delicious meals, keeping a tidy home, singing along to her favorite songs, and expressing her creativity through sewing projects.

Shantel will be remembered for her infectious smile, her warm heart, and her unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
