Shannon M. Shockley-O’Neal of Laurel, DE, found her peace in Heaven next to Jesus on June 19th in her home. Shannon, a resident of the Eastern Shore since 1987, was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Preceded in death by the late Wilbur and Mari Shockley, Shannon left her husband, Lee O’Neal of Laurel, DE, and her four children Nathan Jarrell (15), Nathalia Rathel (11), Noah Rathel (9), and Brentley O’Neal (4), and her brother Sean Shockley of Hebron, MD along with her sister in-law Ashley Shockley, as well as her nieces and nephews - Emily Shockley (25), Felicity Shockley (21), Sean Shockley Jr (19), Cade Shockley (16), and Colten Shockley (6).
Shannon was born in Geneva, AL August 26th, 1983. Raised along her cousins and sibling, Shannon was and will continue to be loved dearly by her friends and family. Shannon was the type of person to leave her mark on any and every one she met. Shannon enjoyed going to the beach, reading, finding and cutting fresh flowers, collecting shells with her children, and riding around listening to Christian music. Shannon loved spending her free time watching My Girl, The Facts of Life, Criminal Minds, and spending her nights watching The Deadliest Catch. Shannon will be missed by anyone who knew and loved her. A gathering between friends and family will be shared soon. Thoughts and prayers for the family will be greatly appreciated.
