We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Shamone Sprewell, who was born on May 10, 1941, in San Diego, California, United States. She peacefully departed this world on January 8, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Shamone was the beloved daughter of Maple Tate and the loving spouse of Kevin Sprewell, whom she married in 1965. Together, they were blessed with a wonderful daughter, Shamekia Sprewell. Shamone adored her family and took great joy in being a mother and grandmother.

Throughout her life, Shamone worked as a chef before retiring in 1984. She also dedicated her time and efforts to the Center for Blind organization, where she provided assistance and support to those in need. Her compassion and generosity touched the lives of many.

Shamone had a passion for cooking and delighted in preparing meals for her family and friends. Her culinary skills were unparalleled, and she always found joy in sharing her creations with others.

Unfortunately, Shamone's battle with cancer ultimately led to her passing. She faced her illness with grace and courage, never losing her positive spirit or determination.

Shamone Sprewell will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
